ffOptik® is our high-performance software package for designing free-form optics.

ffOptik® lets you design free-form lenses and reflectors for an arbitrary distribution of light on a target.

This applies to lighting streets or buildings just as well as to illuminating tiny spaces such as for scanning devices, touch switches or head-up displays.

Whether your problem is a homogeneous light distribution or the highly irregular distribution of your company logo - ffOptik® is the tool of choice.

ffOptik® is not a simulation program, instead it finds an exact solution by solving a differential equation whose result is a unique optical free-form surface.

A single optical surface can either guarantee a desired distribution of light on a target or a desired distribution of the direction of rays in the target.

With two simultaneously calculated free-form surfaces both, amount of light and ray direction in the target can be determined.
